For the first time since the renovation funded by Livorno Town Council, the Sant’Anna School Research Centre for Sea Technologies and Marine Robotics opens the doors to the public, giving a unique opportunity to talk to scientists and young researchers in soft robotics. The 2018 Open Day will be held on Tuesday May 22 at Scoglio della Regina, viale Italia 6, opening hours 10.00-12.00 am to 3.00-5.00 pm.

Within the Patron’s Day Celebrations in Livorno, research teams will be demonstrating the latest soft robotics technology tackling the daunting task of exploring deep waters. Leading researchers and engineers will be on hand to answer questions on issues including medical and healthcare robotics, the importance of applications and benefits of soft robotics worldwide and how the April 2018 RoboSoft international conference demonstrated potential to develop expertise in biomimicry, autonomous robotics, and safe human-robot interactions.
